ECO CABIN SURROUNDED BY NATIVE NZ BUSH // ECO CABIN

This research project, still in development, is in response to New Zealand’s many remote places of natural beauty which need protection from the significant human intervention engendered by increasing tourism.  We propose an infrequent lightweight architecture of tiny eco-cabins that can be sensitively assimilated into the wild.

The ethos of each cabin is to provide a minimal (but well equipped) platform from which to contemplate the natural world.  Each unit is designed as an observatory -  for viewing the mountains, the sea, the stars, the landscape.
